Serie B side Palermo are reportedly interested in signing Leeds United talisman Kemar Roofe, according to reports from Italian media outlet BlogSicilia.

The 25-year old is the Whites' top goalscorer with 10 goals in 15 league games for the Whites this season, and has been on fire for Marcelo Bielsa's men this term.

But reports have recently emerged, that Palermo, who currently sit at the top of Serie B, have made contact with the Yorkshire club ahead of a potential move to Italy.

Roofe had previously been linked with moves to Premier League duo Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace a month or so ago due to his form in front of goal, however a move to Italy would be questionable to say the least.

Leeds currently sit 2nd in the Sky Bet Championship table, one point off table-toppers Norwich City, and a comfortable five points clear of Sheffield United in 3rd position.

The Verdict

Wow - where has this come from?

I really don't know what to make of this - all I can say is Roofe should definitely steer clear. If he is going to leave Leeds then it should only be to the Premier League - not the Italian second division.

He shouldn't make the same mistake as Ronaldo Vieira, whose career has stagnated at Sampdoria.
