Ryan Yates will be unavailable for the trip to South Wales after sustaining a calf injury in the defeat to Middlesbrough.
The midfielder has been a key player under Hughton since his appointment back in October, featuring in every league game under the 62-year-old.
Fouad Bachirou could be in contention to replace Yates, though, with the 30-year-old finally back available having endured hamstring and thigh problems this season.
Hughton will be forced into making an enforced change in defence, with Yuri Ribeiro unavailable through suspension.
The left-back was sent off in the defeat to Boro, being shown a straight red card for putting his head into Britt Assombalonga’s face. He will serve the first of his three-game ban on Saturday, with Gaetan Bong set to come in and replace him.
