Hull City appear to be in no rush to appoint Shota Arveladze's successor, with the Championship outfit parting company with the 49-year-old at the back end of last month.

The Georgian manager was sacked on the morning of a clash against Luton Town after embarking on a four-game losing run.

Andy Dawson, who is currently in temporary charge of the Tigers, has seen his side pick up three points from the four games he has overseen, although it is harsh to place the defeat at Luton as part of his record, given the chaotic nature of that day.

It would appear that Acun Ilicali and Hull hierarchy are ensuring that they get this next appointment right, with the Tigers certainly having the personnel within the squad to flip things around.

Portuguese manager Pedro Martins was reportedly close to becoming Hull manager a week after Arveladze's departure, however, an honest statement from the club publicised the fact that the club were unable to meet his demands.

With no fresh names associated with the job over the last few days, and with the betting odds suggesting that there has been little to no movement, it remains to be seen where Hull and Ilicali are in their search for a new manager.

The latest update from Yorkshire Post has revealed that there is an expectation that current interim boss Andy Dawson will continue in his role for at least the next two away games.

The Tigers travel to Blackpool tomorrow evening and then face a trip to Rotherham United on Saturday, and whilst their recent results have been rather poor, these games do represent an opportunity for Hull to rediscover form.

Amidst a hectic schedule prior to the World Cup starting, it will be interesting to see if their search accelerates over the next week or so.
