Derby County produced an impressive attacking performance on Friday night, as they drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
The Rams created plenty of clear-cut chances, with Graeme Shinnie and Kamil Jozwiak among those missing key chances over the course of the 90 minutes for Phillip Cocu’s side.
On another day, Derby could have left the City Ground with all three points for the first time in over eight years, with Jozwiak’s late effort being ruled out for offside.
Quiz: Do Nottingham Forest and Derby County have these 10 things in common?
Jozwiak, Martyn Waghorn and Tom Lawrence all looked impressive in attack on Friday night, and fans will be excited to see Jordon Ibe fit and firing for the Rams.
Ibe is yet to feature for Derby since joining the Rams on a free transfer in the summer, with the winger continuing to build match fitness and sharpness following his release by AFC Bournemouth.
Nevertheless, the winger is closing in on a return to first-team football, and he impressed for the Under-23s in a 3-1 victory over Southampton on Friday.
Ibe found the net after only two minutes, scoring a fabulous, curling effort which nestled in the top corner.
Fans will hope to see him replicate those type of performances when he makes his second first-team debut for Derby.
Ibe will be so eager to get on the pitch and start playing his best football for Derby.
He’s obviously an exciting player who has stood at Pride Park before, and he has also created real problems whilst playing in the Premier League.
He will be an excellent addition to the Derby side.
