Stoke City keeper Jack Butland will look to force a move to the Premier League with a change of agents, according to a report in the Sun.

The England goalkeeper is ending his current association with Beswicks Sports and is ready to join Triple S Sports and Entertainment Group, who looked after Wayne Rooney and Angus Gunn.

The 25-year old was linked with a move away from Stoke following their relegation in the summer, with Chelsea at the head of the queue for his services.

He was seen by Chelsea as a possible replacement for the outgoing Thibaut Courtois who joined Real Madrid this summer.

His Chelsea switch didn't come off, but Butland is now reported to be interested in a January move away to boost his England hopes. When speaking of his international prospects earlier this season, Butland told the Stoke Sentinel:

“If I’m in the Championship beyond this season, then obviously things start to get a bit trickier, but certainly for this year he’s (Southgate) reassured me that if I can keep my standards high, I can be a part of the team.”

Butland has made 100 senior appearances for his club side as well as appearing for England nine occasions since 2012.

He had previously lashed out at the club's 'farcical' recruitment prior to their Premier League relegation.

The Verdict

There's a definite sense that Butland will be on his way, the change of agent merely the latest in a series of strong hints that he wants to leave Stoke City.

The Premier League promotion challenge hasn't surfaced and the former Birmingham man now surely sees a transfer as his only chance of getting regular international football.
