Derby County were held 0-0 at home by an in-form Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night, but the performance of one youngster caught the eye.

18-year-old right-back Jayden Bogle again impressed for the Rams and came away from the match with more touches than any other player on the pitch, according to Derby's official Twitter account.

Bogle was promoted to the first-team by Frank Lampard at the beginning of this season, making his Championship debut against Millwall.

Last night was the fourth time he has completed 90 minutes in the league already this season and he looks to have made the right-back spot his own.

It was a frustrating match for the Rams with Florian Jozefzoon's acrobatic effort early on saved well by David Raya, with the Spaniard also denying Bogle a good chance.

Mason Mount saw a speculative effort sale close for the Rams, but Tony Mowbray's side defended well and held firm for a good away point.

The result means the Rams drop down to eighth in the table, whilst Blackburn remain 13th.

The Verdict

Bogle looks to be a really exciting talent and Lampard deserves a lot of credit for giving him his chance.

He will make mistakes over time, but they will only make him a better player.

For now, he's looking an assured performer.
