Aston Villa have finally begun to pick up form in the Championship and many of their supporters have been considering whether the play-offs might have been realistic, if Bruce could have gotten his players playing this well earlier in the campaign.

The Midlanders had struggled when the former Birmingham City boss originally took over and he faced a multitude of pressures from the crowd and owners at Villa Park.

But after some decent wins against Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan in recent weeks, things are looking up at Villa Park and it seems like the foundations for next season are slowly being laid, where a push for the promotion places really needs to happen.

But going forward, it's clear there are some Villa players in this squad that haven't performed to their best and that have just one final opportunity to impress the Villa faithful.

So with that in mind, here's TWO Aston Villa players Bruce must give one more opportunity to shine...

Jack Grealish

Jack Grealish hasn't had the strongest of campaigns this season and he's been on the outskirts of the first-team all season.

For a man who features so much at England U21 level, we should really be seeing more of him at this level, or his development will stint at arguably the most crucial time in his career

The Solihull-born youngster deserves one more chance on the big-scale, or Villa might be best cutting their losses and moving him on.

Ross McCormack

Shipped out on-loan to Nottingham Forest after falling out with Steve Bruce earlier on this season, things haven't been great for the former Fulham man down at his new club either.

He's struggled to score the goals Forest need to really pull away from the relegation zone and it seems both sets of supporters have been a little underwhelmed by what they've seen of him this campaign.

But he's a forward who is proven at this level and if Bruce gives him one more chance, that's it, he needs to prove himself.

Not only to himself, but the Villa faithful too.
