Nottingham Forest picked up a crucial three points today at the City Ground over a Bristol City side to put clear daylight between themselves and the relegation battlers, who are trying to suck Forest into the mix.

The lead up to the game was marred by angry protests from Forest fans who made their feelings clear towards their owner, Fawaz Al-Hasawi. They want him out their club.

A solitary goal was enough for Forest to claim all three points. A moment of brilliance from Ben Osborn from an innovative free kick routine was enough to beat the debutant Bristol City 'keeper.

The win sees Forest climb up to 19th position and put a five point gap between themselves and 22nd place, Burton Albion.

Without a manager, Forest were managed by Gary Brazil today and he certainly staked his claim for the permanent managerial post.

Forest fans were clearly delighted with the result and here's how they reacted on twitter...
