Derby County manager Frank Lampard has issued a warning to his Rams squad ahead of today's game with struggling Rotherham United.

Despite the gulf in spending and the positions in the Championship table, former Chelsea midfielder Lampard has moved quickly to quash any notion that the Rams could be in for an easy day at the office, insisting he has seen the Millers plenty of times and knows what they are about.

They are very organised and they have had a couple of good results. They are a good team and it is going to be very difficult for us. They are organised, physical, they have some quality, so it's going to be tough." Lampard told the Derby Telepraph.

"I don't think we should look on them as a promoted team or anything like that. It is going to be as tough as every game is in the Championship. On different levels, in a different way, it will be a tough battle for us, so we have to go fully prepared.

Lampard takes his Derby team into the game with Paul Warne's men off the back of four wins out of their opening six fixtures this season, and despite the warning, will be confident his team can overcome Rotherham and maintain their hunt for promotion.

The Rams start a hectic fixture list this weekend which sees them take in seven games before the first weekend in October, and Lampard insists each game is important, adding:

"We have got game after game, and they are all as important as each other".
