Jack Harrison proved to be the difference for Leeds United at Reading on Tuesday, with the winger’s 87th minute header enough to secure the Whites three vital points.

Leeds were frustrated by Reading for large spells at the Madejski Stadium, but pressure would grow in the second-half and a swift counterattack led to Harrison firing a header past Rafael to seal the win.

For Reading, they offered little threat to Leeds, minus one header from Yakou Meite and the odd trick from Ovie Ejaria, which often came to nothing.

In truth, Ejaria did cause a few problems for holding midfielder Kalvin Phillips, but the 22-year-old produced little in terms of end product, as pointed out by Graham Smyth.

Ejaria has three goals and two assists this season, but he drifted in and out of the game against Leeds, with the playmaker struggling to properly free himself of Phillips’ shackles.

That was the view of some fans, but others were impressed by what they saw.
