Barnsley supporters have every reason to be concerned heading into the festive period, with the Tykes without a win in their last three matches.
Daniel Stendel’s side slipped to a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, which saw them lose ground on league-leaders, Portsmouth.
Barnsley are now 12 points adrift of Pompey and there seems to be little stopping the league-leaders, with it looking a tough ask for Stendel’s side to get anywhere near them.
But, their recent slump in form will be a concern ahead of a hectic festive fixture list, which could potentially define where they finish in the table this season.
Many people had Barnsley as one of the favourites to be promoted to the Championship in pre-season and they showed promising signs under Stendel.
They will be looking to get a much-needed three points when they host Portsmouth next weekend.
So, how did Barnsley supporters react to their latest defeat against Wycombe?

Lack of creativity today, lack of experience and a lack of support all over the pitch… Congratulations to our 943 fans who turned up today and made the long journey.. Deserved a better performance!

Need some big investment in Jan if automatic is the aim as GG stated in pre season

Reds lack experience and depth in the squad. Wonder if the owners will spend in January or sell?
— Stephen Wood (@woodbine46) December 8, 2018
Might scrape the play offs at best

Not good enough.
— Scott Cameron (@ScottCameron91) December 8, 2018
So flat today, they weren't up for it. Need some fresh players in January, no creativity in the middle and no urgency.

Inconsistent with a capital I.
