With just a few weeks to go until the start of the new EFL season, most clubs are now well into their pre-season preparations.

However, there are plenty of managers up and down the football pyramid who are still hoping to strengthen their squads ahead of the new campaign.

Friday was another busy day in the transfer market for clubs in League Two and saw plenty of teams make new additions.

Here is a round-up of the day’s biggest transfer stories from League Two…

Bradford City sign Rotherham United midfielder

Bradford City have signed Rotherham United midfielder Matt Palmer on a season-long loan.

The 24-year-old becomes Gary Bowyer’s tenth signing of the summer.

Palmer made ten Championship appearances for Rotherham last season and was part of the Burton Albion side that won the League Two title in 2014/15.

Exeter City signed Bristol City defender

Exeter City have signed Bristol City defender Robbie Cundy on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old recently joined the Championship club from National League South side Bath City and is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Robins.

The centre-back started his career at Oxford United and played every National League South game for Bath last season.

Scunthorpe sign Sheffield United goalkeeper

Scunthorpe United have signed goalkeeper Jake Eastwood from Sheffield United.

The 22-year-old shot-stopper arrives at Glanford Park on a season-long loan and will challenge Rory Watson for the number one spot next season.

The goalkeeper has made four appearances for Sheffield United in his career and has also spent time on loan at Chesterfield in League Two.

Oldham Athletic complete double signing

Oldham Athletic have signed Swansea City goalkeeper Gregor Zabret on a season-long loan, while striker Urko Vera has rejoined the club on a one-year deal.

Zabret is yet to make a first-team appearance for Swansea, but the 23-year-old has been an important player for their under-23 side over the past few seasons.

Meanwhile, former Athletic Bilbao striker Vera scored one goal in six appearances for Oldham during a short-term loan deal last season.

Crawley Town sign free agent

Crawley Town have signed midfielder Jack Powell on a two-year contract.

The 25-year-old was a free agent after leaving National League side Maidstone at the end of last season.

Powell started his career at Millwall and scored four goals for Maidstone last season.
