It hasn't been a busy day in League Two, with few sides entering into agreements with players in the basement division.

It's been a day of rejected bids and suggested moves. The biggest news story seems to be coming out of Walsall and that's where we begin this evening's round-up.

George Dobson & Morgan Ferrier

Sunderland's interest in Dobson was revealed yesterday and it emerged today that Walsall have turned down a bid for the former West Ham man.

They've also rebuffed an approach for former Boreham Wood striker Morgan Ferrier, but manager Darrell Clarke admitted to the Express and Star that both want to leave the club.

"George Dobson and Morgan Ferrier - we have had bids from clubs that haven't been acceptable," Clarke said. "They have shown a desire to leave, which is football."

David Wheater

The Bolton captain looks set to make a shock move to Salford City after turning down the chance of European football with Kilmarnock.

The 32-year-old is leaving Bolton after their summer of discontent, with the Bolton News reporting he's rejected a move to the SPFL.

Instead, he looks ready to pen a deal with the Football League newcomers.

Matt Stevens

Forest Green Rovers have had a £25,000 bid for Peterborough striker Matt Stevens turned down, according to the Peterborough Telegraph.

The 21-year-old has previously enjoyed prolific spells with Kettering Town and Slough, but hasn't made the grade at London Road.

Forest Green are in the market for a striker after Christian Doidge signed for SPFL side Hibernian.

Diallang Jaiyesimi

Cambridge United are amongst three clubs looking to secure a loan deal for Norwich City forward Jaiyesimi, as reported by the Eastern Daily Press.

The 21-year-old spent nine games on loan with Yeovil last season but had his spell there cut short through injury after scoring twice.

He's previously been with Grimsby Town on loan and has three EFL Trophy appearances to his name for the Canaries' Under 23 side.
