Teams in League One continue to build and strengthen this summer, with players making switches and rumours continuing to flow across the division.

Portsmouth are close to making a move for a defender, one of the areas they need to strengthen, and that's where we start our round-up of all things League One.

James Bolton

Portsmouth are close to singing Shrewsbury defender James Bolton, as reported by the Shropshire Star.

The 24-year-old right back has made over 80 appearances for the Shrews, but now looks likely to join up with Kenny Jackett at Fratton Park on a free transfer at the end of his current deal in Shropshire.

Lewis Morgan

Sunderland's hopes of bringing winger Morgan back to the club have been dashed, as he's pledged his immediate future to Celtic.

The youngster joined the Black Cats in January on loan and showed flashes of inspiration that suggest a long and successful career.

That won't be with the Wearsiders though as he's told Football Scotland he's ready to fight for his place at Parkhead.

Jamal Lowe

Portsmouth have turned down a bid of £1.5m for wide man Jamal Lowe as the race for his signature heats up.

Lowe bagged 15 goals last season, adding eight assists and looks likely to leave Fratton Park.

He won't be allowed to go for less than £3m though, that's the figure they're holding out for this summer.

Curtis Tilt

Rotherham United are keeping tabs on Blackpool defender Curtis Tilt as he enters the final year of his contract, as reported by the Blackpool Gazette.

The former Wrexham man has been a rock at the back for the Seasiders over the last couple of seasons, but Millers assistant manager Richie Barker confirmed he was on a list of targets for the recently-relegated side.

Tariq Fosu

A host of League One clubs are hoping to lure Charlton's out of favour winger Tariq Fosu away from south London, as reported by London News Online.

Oxford United are at the head of the queue, with Karl Robinson behind Fosu's good form at Charlton during his time as manager.

They're joined by Rotherham and Lincoln City in coveting the 23-year-old, who would cost a fee as the Addicks have offered him a new deal.
