It's been something of a slow news day across the EFL, with few clubs bringing in new faces as the season edges closer.

With friendlies underway and most squads taking shape, it appears to be just the finishing touches needed for some sides. However, MK Dons could be on the verge of a coup and that's where we begin our round-up.

Rhys Healey

Healey was outstanding for MK prior to his January recall by Cardiff and Football Insider reports he could be on his way back to the League One club.

He's got a year left of his current contract with the Bluebirds, but's it's now believed they're willing to let him leave.

That's already attracted the interest of Paul Tisdale's side, who are reported to have opened discussions.

Ben Barclay

Former Brighton defender Ben Barclay has signed a one-year deal with Accrington Stanley, with an option of another 12 months if all goes well.

Barclay spent time on loan in League Two with Notts County last season, but missed their crucial final games after being sent off on Easter Monday.

"It's a chance for him to kick on in League One and get more league experience under his belt," boss John Coleman said.

Ben Sheaf

Arsenal's versatile youngster Ben Sheaf has signed a six-month loan deal with Doncaster Rovers, as reported by the Doncaster Free Press.

He becomes manager Darren Moore's first signing of his tenure at the Keepmoat and will step up a level after spending a portion of last season in League Two with Stevenage.

Ed Williams

Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has rubbished claims his side are in the hunt for Kidderminster midfielder Ed Williams.

A report circulating late last night suggested Posh were hunting the 23-year-old, who attracted attention with a prolific run last autumn.

Vocal owner MacAnthony claims it's rubbish though, suggesting; "Any agent/club looking to get a bid for a player tend to throw our name to usual sources."
