There has been plenty of transfer news emerging from League One this afternoon, with one club making their first signing of the summer.

We'll begin our round-up at Sincil Bank, where a 22-year-old Championship midfielder becomes Danny Cowley's first foray into the market this summer.

Joe Morrell

Lincoln have bagged Bristol City midfielder Joe Morrell on a season-long loan deal.

Morrell is a Wales Under 21 international who can play anywhere across the middle of the park. He's previously been on loan at Cheltenham for whom he made 38 starts for in 2017/18.

He's played just one Championship game for Bristol City, but started three FA Cup matches this season.

Marcus Maddison

Hull City are reportedly interested in Peterborough winger Marcus Maddison, but as yet no bids have been lodged.

New Tigers boss Grant McCann managed the left-sided player at London Road and he's put him top of his targets list this summer, according to Posh director of football Barry Fry.

The buyout clause is £2.5m, which is exactly what Hull will have to pay if they're to tempt him to the KCom.

Julien Lamy

Rotherham United have handed a one-year deal to 19-year-old wide man Julien Lamy.

The youngster was plying his trade in the fifth tier of French football last season, but has earned a deal after a successful trial with the Millers.

"I think he's still a development project," Paul Warne warned via the club website.

"As I stand here talking to you now, I expect great things for him, but I don't expect him to start the first game of the season."

Aaron Jarvis

21-year-old former Luton Town striker Aaron Jarvis is being handed a chance to resurrect his career with League One Portsmouth, as reported by Luton Today.

He left Basingstoke for Kenilworth Road in 2017, but scored just twice for the Hatters, both in the EFL Trophy.

He's had loan spells with Falkirk and Boreham Wood, both goalless.
