With just a couple of days left to trade before the big kick off, one team in League One are having to replace a key player.

We begin our round-up at the Kassam where things have been busy today for Karl Robinson.

Gavin Whyte / Ben Woodburn

Cardiff City have completed the signing of Northern Ireland international Gavin Whyte from Oxford United for a fee thought to be around £2m.

Whyte joined the U's from Irish side Crusaders last summer, scoring nine goals in 51 outings for the club.

Despite it being a blow for Karl Robinson, his side have secured a loan move  for Liverpool winger Ben Woodburn. He spent last season with Sheffield United, but was recalled by the Anfield giants at Christmas.

Will Norris

Ipswich Town have signed Wolves keeper Will Norris on a season-long loan deal, as reported by the BBC.

The 25-year-old played much of his senior football for Cambridge United, making only a couple of appearances after moving to Molineux.

He's the second stopper Ipswich have signed this summer, following Gillingham's Tomas Holy into the club.

David Wheeler

Queens Park Rangers winger David Wheeler has left Loftus Road to join Wycombe Wanderers on a free transfer.

Wheeler joined The Hoops for a fee of £500,000 from Exeter City in August 2017, but spent last season on loan with Portsmouth and MK Dons.

Chairboys boss Gareth Ainsworth is delighted with the capture, telling their official site; "David was an outstanding player in an excellent Exeter City side a couple of years ago, and always caught the eye when he played against us."

Matt Jarvis

Gillingham have handed a lifeline to former Wolves winger Matt Jarvis, who is currently without a club, as reported by the Kent Messenger.

He's been training with Steve Evans side and the manager confirmed he's been impressed with what he's seen so far.

"Matt asked if he could come in and train, and of course, he has been magnificent here.

"He’s trained for a few days now but it would be far too early for me to be judgmental and make a call," said Evans.
