Kyle Edwards delivers honest verdict as he reflects on Ipswich Town's latest display v Oxford

Ipswich Town midfielder Kyle Edwards has admitted that although he was not satisfied by the outcome of his side's clash with Oxford United at the weekend, he believes that the club produced a positive performance in-front of their supporters.

Ipswich will be looking to get back to winning ways in League One when they face Sunderland on Saturday.

The Verdict

Whilst Ipswich would have been hoping to beat Oxford last weekend, it could be argued that a draw is not necessarily a bad result against a side who have reached the play-offs in each of the last two seasons.

In order to maintain his place in the Tractor Boys' starting eleven for the foreseeable future, Edwards will need to improve his consistency in the third-tier.

Yet to score a goal or register an assist for Ipswich at this level, the former West Bromwich Albion man is currently averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.58 in League One.

By delivering an eye-catching performance against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this weekend, Edwards could potentially help his side secure all three points on their travels.
