West Bromwich Albion take on Leeds United this evening needing to beat their rivals to keep in touch of the automatic promotion places.

Darren Moore’s men head to Elland Road looking to inflict the Whites’ ninth reverse of the season, and back-to-back-defeats after their surprising loss to QPR last time out.

The Baggies, have not played since their defeat to Sheffield United last weekend and having lost to a rival, they will be hoping for better fortunes tonight.

Moore could be without some key players for the trip to Yorkshire but could welcome back Ahmed Hegazi – who picked up a knock in the defeat to the Blades.

West Brom’s boss explained the defender was back in training and looked to be back fit for the game.

And this news is sure to leave Kyle Bartley exasperated.

The combination of Craig Dawson and Hegazi has been the mainstay at the back for the Baggies this season, but when Bartley has played, more so in the earlier part of the season, he impressed.

Hegazi’s return will see the former Leeds loanee wonder when he will get his chance once more having prepared all week in anticipation of starting in his place.

The 27-year-old will need to remain professional and channel any ill-feeling into a positive one to try and persuade Moore he is the man for the job.

The game with Leeds could be one to early for Hegazi, but there is more hope he will play than not.

Bartley will be cursing his luck at the development and will instead have to readjust his mental focus and work harder than ever on the training pitch to force his way back into the starting XI.
