Queens Park Rangers midfielder Niko Kranjcar has said that neither team contesting the play-off final next Saturday is the favourite.
Derby County beat Brighton 6-2 on aggregate to secure their place at Wembley, whilst a Charlie Austin brace booked QPR’s spot in the final as they overcame Wigan in extra time, winning 2-1.
And heading into the play off final next weekend, Kranjcar believes both teams will be full of confidence.
Speaking to BBC London, Kranjcar said: “I think we have the character, the experience and the quality to win the game.
“There is no favourite. The team that wants it more on the day and the team which shows more guile is going to go to the Premier League.
“It will be a tough match. We respect Derby very much and especially their manager, who worked with us at the beginning of the season. He knows how to set his teams up.”
As well as the final at England’s national stadium to look forward to, Kranjcar also has World Cup to get excited about after being named in Croatia’s provisional 30-man squad for the tournament next month.
