Aston Villa defender Kortney Hause has posted an update on social media, after the Championship play-off final victory over Derby County yesterday.

Villa won promotion to the Premier League with a 2-1 win over Derby, thanks to goals from Anwar El Ghazi and John McGinn, on an unforgettable afternoon for their supporters at Wembley.

Hause was an important player for Villa in the Championship during the second half of the season, after joining on loan from Wolves in the January transfer window.

The centre-back scored one goal in eleven Championship appearances for Villa and came off the bench to replace the injured Tyrone Mings for the final few moments of the final.

Hause posted this photo on his personal Instagram account, showing himself with the trophy and his winners' medal from inside the Villa dressing room at Wembley.

Hause has now won promotion to the Premier League in each of the past two seasons, after helping Wolves win the Championship title in 2017-18.

The Verdict:

Villa have been outstanding in the Championship over the past few months and Hause played an important role in helping Dean Smith's side reach the play-offs.

I'm sure the defender is delighted to help Villa win promotion, especially after experiencing the joys of promotion with Wolves last season.

Perhaps Villa will try to sign him on a permanent deal in the summer.
