Steve Bruce will be hoping to build on the victory over Reading with another win as Villa aim to finish the season strongly.

Villa are currently in fourth place with play-offs all but secured due to a eleven point gap on Bristol City in seventh. However, they are seven points behind Cardiff in second, so they are realistically fighting for top place in the play-offs which, in theory, gives them the easiest schedule.

Norwich are fresh from a 4-1 demolition by QPR, so morale is likely to be low for this match especially because they have little to play for in the remainder of the season. Therefore, Villa are playing Daniel Farke's men at the perfect time.

Here's the XI that Bruce should start against Norwich...

Johnstone starts in the net as usual and he is yet to miss a game in the league this season.

Elmohamady provides width and reliability from the right-back spot.

Chester continues in defence, and he is similar to Johnstone in that he hasn't missed a league game which shows the consistency that Bruce likes to have.

Terry captains the side alongside Chester in the heart of defence and they will be tasked with keeping the lively Nelson Oliveira quiet.

Taylor is the more defensive-minded of the two full-backs which leaves Villa relatively well prepared if the opposition breaks on them.

The Icelandic midfielder starts in front of the defence. He acts as a pivot for the team and is tasked with shutting down James Maddison who is having a stunning season.

Snodgrass provides the main threat from the flanks as well as being the chief set piece taker. He will be key in creating openings for the Villa attackers.

Hourihane impressed against Reading, so he keeps his place in the centre of midfield. He will be key in the battle for control because the Canaries like to dictate the tempo of the match through maintaining possession.

Jack Grealish has to feature in this one, he is the main link between the midfield and the attack. He should get the nod over £2.7m-rated Josh Onomah.

Adomah acts as an inside forward so Villa have a dual threat for the Norwich defence to deal with, so he will be key in drawing defenders towards him which opens up space for others.

Kodjia gets the nod over Scott Hogan because he did well on his return and it keeps the various striking options fit in order to increase their threat for the rest of the season.
