Ipswich Town remained top of the League One table courtesy of a solitary Kayden Jackson goal in their visit to Fleetwood Town at the weekend.
The former Accrington Stanley man had a horror season in his first year at Portman Road. He struggled to adjust to life in the Championship and returned just three goals in the league and four in total.
They drafted in James Norwood over the summer, seemingly condemning Jackson to a season on the fringes of the first team, but that’s not been the case. He’s stepped up impressively and bagged six goals in eight matches, including Saturday’s winner.
