Queens Park Rangers are not thought to be among the front runners for a promotion spot this season, but that billing could work in their favour.

Whilst the likes of Nottingham Forest and Stoke recruit heavily, looking for a top six finish, former England manager Steve McClaren has been a little more reserved in his own spending.

There's many exciting young players at QPR like Ebere Eze, Paul Smyth and Ryan Manning, all of whom might cause a few surprises when the season gets underway. They won't do it alone and losing players such as Nedum Onuoha will have hit them hard.

There's still business needed to be done at Loftus Road, an experience striker or two would be a big help as well as some extra bodies at the back.

FLW looks at three transfers they should get done in double quick time to give themselves a boost before the big kick off.

The prolific striker played for McClaren at Maccabi Tel Aviv and would seem to be a sound investment for the Championship.

Middlesbrough and West Brom are also thought to be interested, but both have other targets too and McClaren should use his link with the player to tie a deal up quickly.

The supposed deal for Sainsbury keeps being mentioned as almost done, but almost is not 'done deal' and therefore QPR need to get a move on.

The Australian international is a team mate of Massimo Luongo and that might help convince the midfielder to stay put for the coming season too.

Sainsbury is a decent defender and one who would solidify the QPR back line, that is for sure.

Hugill is seemingly not required at West Ham, but his creativity would be most welcome at Loftus Road.

If they tie up a move for a striker, as well as get the best from those young players, then Hugill could be a crucial piece of the jigsaw, bringing experience and second-tier know how to the squad.
