Bournemouth were unable to see off the threat of Derby County at the weekend – and they certainly will not want a repeat performance against Millwall.

The Cherries have been a force in the second tier so far this campaign but they’ve come undone in recent weeks and fell to another loss to the Rams on Sunday.

Although they are still holding firm in the automatic promotion spots, they will need to bounce back from this blip and start to get points on the board again.

Scott Parker could have a few members of the squad back in action in midweek, which could be a boost for the entire squad – and means he has a dilemma on his hands again with who to pick.

As long as he picks a side that can bag the three points though, that is all that matters.

There could be some changes to the Bournemouth side that fell to defeat against Derby but nothing too drastic.

Dom Solanke will keep his place in attack, as he remains a prolific goalscorer, while Philip Billing behind him is another key player likely to retain his place.

Lloyd Kelly is still out injured so will have to sit out and the whole Cherries’ backline is likely to be the same as the one that shipped three goals to Derby.

However, the changes here come in midfield. Both Lewis Cook and Jefferson Lerma are good players – and it seems harsh to drop the latter – but a complete change up in the centre of the field could aid the side in midweek and allow them to have some rest.

That would see youngster Gavin Kilkenny start the tie and Ben Pearson thrown back into the fold alongside him. However, if they are struggling to create or the latter of the two is not fully fit again, then Lerma would most certainly hold onto his place.
