Barnsley are serious contenders to make a swift return back to the Sky Bet Championship this season from League One.
The Tykes look a solid unit with good players at the back like Ethan Pinnock and Liam Lindsay whilst through the middle, you have the likes of Alex Mowatt pulling the strings.
They have goals, too, with Cauley Woodrow up top but, for sure, they’ve suffered a setback with the news leading scorer Kieffer Moore is out for the season.
He picked up a nasty blow last weekend and had to go to hospital, with medical advice ruling him out for the rest of the campaign in order to aid his recovery.
The main thing is, though, that he is on that road to a return and he took to Instagram to deliver this message to fans of the Oakwell-based outfit:
A significant blow without doubt but the main thing is that Moore is okay and will be working to get back in contention for the new season.
He’s been excellent this year for the Tykes and his goals will be a miss but Cauley Woodrow is a handy attacker and he’ll be looking to be the man now to help fire them back into the second tier.
