Wolves will look to get back to winning ways this Saturday when they welcome Reading to Molineux but once again they will be without star man Ruben Neves.

The ex-Porto midfielder is the man that makes Wolves tick but picked up his tenth booking of the season against Norwich which ruled him out of the 2-0 defeat to Fulham on Saturday.

He was sorely missed at Craven Cottage, with the Black Country side failing to control the game from the middle of the park as they normally would with the Portuguese maestro.

And, it appears he is missing playing as much as Wolves are missing him, going from his latest social media post.

Neves shared a picture of him and his teammates celebrating after a goal against Norwich in his last game, adding that he is ‘already missing this’.

Results over the weekend mean Wanderers only have a six-point lead at the top of the Championship.

The 20-year old is sure to make his return to the side against Leeds United at Elland Road next week.

The Verdict

Nuno Espirito Santo boasts a quality squad but Neves is the most important player at the club as Wolves don’t have anyone who can offer anything like he does when he is absent.

That was evident at Craven Cottage and it will leave some fans quite nervous about what Saturday holds even if Reading are struggling.

Clearly, Neves is desperate to get back out on the pitch and it will be a big boost for the leaders when his ban is over.
