Wolves defender Connor Coady has revealed the team are 'ready to go' as they look to secure promotion to the Premier League this weekend.

The Black Country side know that victory over local rivals Birmingham will guarantee a return to the top-flight, although they could go up without kicking a ball if Fulham fail to beat Brentford this evening.

And, captain Coady told the Express & Star that he will be watching the Cottagers later on. "We’ll be watching it in the hotel and we’ll see what happens."

However, he insists that whatever happens the side are excited about the game tomorrow.

"We want to win every game we play so we’ll be ready whatever happens. We’re near the end line and we want to finish the job."

"We all know the situation and where we’ve put ourselves. Everyone’s really excited. It’s been like that all season, looking forward to games and that doesn’t change now."

Should Wolves go up this weekend, they will have three games to secure the title which will also be the aim for Nuno Espirito Santo and the players.

The Verdict

Promotion has looked nailed on for Wolves in the past few weeks and it's expected to be confirmed this weekend.

The fans and players would prefer to do it at home to Birmingham, although they won't complain if Brentford do them a favour this evening.

As Coady says, the players have to be ready and they will surely enjoy the derby tomorrow no matter what happens today.
