Wolves further enhanced their promotion credentials last night with a big win over rivals Bristol City to round off an excellent 2017 for the Molineux club.
The Championship leaders were made to work hard for the win and saw Danny Batth red carded in the first half before Bobby Reid put the home side ahead and looked to have sent Bristol on their way to a huge three points.
However, Barry Douglas hit back for Wolves following Frank Fielding’s sending off for the Robins, before a late 94th minute winner from Ryan Bennett sent the away end wild.
Following the game, Wolves Managing Director Laurie Dalrymple took the opportunity to take to Twitter to share his views on the game and the year as a whole.
That’s how you close out 2017!Unbelievable performance from the boys tonight. Safe journey home to everyone of you who were unbelievable in your support tonight. We go again on Tuesday. #WolvesAyWe ???? pic.twitter.com/51WBbbaATX

Dalrymple’s message makes it clear for all to see that Wolves’ fans, players, and management are all pulling in the same direction, and it is a big boost for the supporters to see someone in a top position at the club coming out and praising the situation.
The win meant Wolves sit 10 points clear of the chasing pack following Cardiff’s home defeat to Preston North End, and they will be hoping to make an excellent start to 2018 and get themselves back in the Premier League.
