West Brom face a tough challenge of they are to bounce back from their defeat to Wigan at the weekend, with Frank Lampard's Derby County likely to provide a stern test for Darren Moore's side.

His side's test got even tougher as he faces the prospect of being without a number of his first-team players who are struggling with injuries that could mean they miss the game on Wednesday evening.

Matt Phillips has been a crucial member of Moore's squad this season and is struggling in his battle to be fit in time for the game against Derby with a muscle injury that has kept him out of the side since the Baggies' win over Millwall last month.

The main injury concern for Darren Moore will be Craig Dawson who limped off with a knock early in the second-half in the defeat to Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

If Dawson isn't fit for the game against the Rams then Manchester City loanee Tosin Adarabioyo is likely to start for Albion.

Veteran midfielder Gareth Barry is also a doubt for the clash against Frank Lampard's side with an 'unspecified minor injury' that has kept him out of action since the win over Reading before the international break.

Moore will be hoping his side can overcome the injury worries they have as they look to move up to the top of the Championship table with a positive win against Derby on Wednesday.

The Verdict:

Moore has a dilemma on his hands if the trio miss the game against Derby, but he should still have enough depth in his squad to produce a positive result on Wednesday.

The depth that Moore has in his squad will be a huge boost in situations like this, and it will be key if his side are to challenge for an immediate return to the Premier League after their relegation last season.
