Darren Moore has admitted he will have to adapt and improve as a manager as he gears up for his first full-season as a boss with West Brom in the Championship.

The club legend got the role on a permanent basis after a superb run as caretaker in the Premier League which saw Albion pick up positive results against Liverpool, Spurs and Manchester United among others.

However, Moore admitted to the Express & Star things have changed now.

"It’s a different role now. Over the course of a season, your planning and preparation will be different – but the focus will always just be on that next game, it has to be."

And, he is determined to rediscover Albion's identity after restoring pride in the final part of last seasons disastrous campaign.

"What helped me the most was me knowing the club. We almost got the club back to what we are known for – a really passionate football club."

"The fans love their football club and are very proud of it and I think we brought that back and that was really important."

The Verdict

West Brom fans should be pleased with what Moore has had to say here and he comes across very well.

He is acknowledging things are different now, which they are, but clearly wants to ensure the players give their all for the shirt and the fans as they have done under his guidance.

It will be a tough and different challenge for Moore but the early signs are positive for the Baggies.
