Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford will wait until after the under-21 European Championships until making a decision on his future, according to a report in the Mirror.

Pickford is one of the most sought after young players in the English game at the moment after impressing for Sunderland last season despite the Black Cats being relegated to the Championship.

The 23-year-old is wanted by Everton, but will wait until after the tournament before making a decision on his future ahead of next season.

Pickford said: "I have spoken to my agent and told him that I just want to concentrate on the Euros and be the best I can be. I’ll see where it takes me. I don’t want to be getting distracted.”

Pickford will be hoping to lead the young three lions to glory to put a good end on what was a miserable season on the whole, despite the 'keeper's good form at the Stadium of Light.

A move to Everton would put him back in the limelight, and Pickford will no doubt be hoping to try and sneak a place in the full squad for next years Euro 2018 tournament in Russia.
