Sheffield United midfielder Oliver Norwood insists the Blades don't get concerned about facing sides that have cost millions to build.

Chris Wilder has got his side to the top of the league on a very limited budget in comparison to others in the league, with recent opponents Stoke one of many to seriously splash the cash in the summer.

However, whilst they languish in the bottom half, the Yorkshire side are top, with Norwood telling the Sheffield Star that's because the side doesn't worry about reputations.

"It's 11 versus 11 out there and I've played some of the best on the international stage, so a player's reputation or name doesn't matter to me.

"At the end of the day it's a Championship match, us against them. And that's the mentality we have. The manager thinks like that too, but we see it as wanting to prove ourselves against whoever we come up against."

A comprehensive 4-2 victory over Wigan last time out took the Blades to outright leaders in the Championship, with Wilder's side two points ahead of Leeds, Middlesbrough and Norwich at the 15-game mark.

They are back in action this weekend with a trip to Nottingham Forest that looks like a very challenging fixture.

The Verdict

This is a great attitude for Sheffield United to have and you can see by their performances that they don't give the opposition too much respect.

The Blades know they are a good side and they always look to play their game, which Wilder deserves credit for.

Clearly, it works, with the side leading the way in the Championship, so they'd be mad to change their approach.
