Sheffield United rounded their season off with an excellent 3-2 away win at Bristol City to seal 10th spot in the Championship, an impressive feat on their return to the second tier following six years away.

The Blades scored three stunning first half goals courtesy of Leon Clarke, Billy Sharp, and Kieron Freeman, and United will go into the summer in confident mood ahead of what could be an excellent season for the Blades, if things can be sorted off the field.

It is this off the field controversy - with problems between the club's joint owners surfacing - that appears to be taking a shine off the club's season, and skipper Billy Sharp was frank in his assessment with Radio Sheffield's Andy Giddings following the game today, calling for the board to sort things out in order to keep hold of Chris Wilder.

The message from Sharp sends a clear signal to the boardroom at Bramall Lane and is a show of solidarity towards manager Wilder, who has led the club to the League One title and now a top ten Championship finish in his first two years in charge.

Long time owner Kevin McCabe will be under pressure from fans to sort out the current situation, with talk already in the air of Wilder potentially leaving the club if things are not concluded swiftly.

Blades fans, what do you think? Agree with Sharp? Let us know in the comments!
