Sheffield United take on Derby County this evening looking to continue their fine run of form which saw them top the Championship ahead of the international break.

Chris Wilder's men will be hoping to get one over on Frank Lampard's Rams, who themselves have had a good start to the campaign.

And Blades defender Kieron Freeman - a former Derby County player - is backing his team to continue their run and put in the right sort of performance at Pride Park tonight.

"We're more experienced now, having had a full season in the Championship and we know every game in this division is a tough game. We're growing as a team and we just have to keep improving individually and collectively, to get better and better." Freeman told United's official website.

"We've played our system for a long time now, we know how to play against and we also back ourselves against anyone who come and match us up, it almost suits us."

Freeman has returned to the fold this season after missing much of the last campaign through injury, and has so far managed to keep George Baldock out of the team down the right hand side for United.

The Blades have won four on the bounce, and were 1-0 winners last time out against Hull City, as a David McGoldrick penalty was enough to send his side top of the Championship.

The verdict

Freeman is right, he is right to back his team against anyone in the league.

The Blades have prove time and again they can roll with the big hitters in the Championship, and it would not be a surprise to see United at least snatch a top six spot come the end of the season.
