Despite QPR's staff taking a voluntary pay-cut, Les Ferdinand still has concerns over the financial implications the R's could end up having to deal with thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Hoops are in better financial shape than they were a few years ago and that's in no small part to the likes of Ferdinand and Lee Hoos, who have worked hard to get the R's on a better footing.

They're not out of the woods just yet, of course, but they are looking in better shape, though Ferdinand has got concerns about the current situation.

Quoted by the Standard, the former striker admitted:

“Could the work we’ve done here disappear? 100 percent. The problem is, we are not the only club sitting in this situation.”

The Verdict

There's been a lot of hard work done behind the scenes at QPR to get them in better shape and it is testament to the likes of Hoos and Ferdinand that you can consider the Hoops a well-run club these days.

However, they're still not clear of the financial woes they suffered completely, and the continued impact of Coronavirus on things like matchday gates and merchandise sales is bound to be felt.

It's a juggling act for many clubs in this country right now, but Hoops fans will at least feel there are some decent people in the roles that matter to ensure they come out unscathed.
