Mark Warburton has denied speculation suggesting that he is due to step down as manager of Queens Park Rangers, a statement on the club’s website has revealed.
A report from The Sun suggested that the QPR boss was set to leave his position at Loftus Road in favour of a move to become the FA’s new Assistant Technical Director, however that report has now been taken down.
Warburton has enjoyed a wonderful season with the Hoops so far with last night’s victory over Swansea City pushing the club up to eighth position in the Championship.
But following links with a move away the manager has decided to speak out on the speculation.
Speaking to Queens Park Rangers’ official website, Warburton said: “I don’t know where this has come from, there isn’t a grain of truth in it.
“I’m completely committed to QPR and am focused on the job in hand.”
QPR’s CEO Lee Hoos added “Mark Warburton is not leaving for the FA.
“It’s a pity the publication did not bother checking their facts before releasing the article which is so wide of the mark.”

Queens Park Rangers fans will be breathing a massive sigh of relief here.
After a really difficult few years the Hoops have really kicked on over the last year or so and a big part of that has been Mark Warburton’s input.
Losing him would have been a big blow, so to hear that he’s staying will bode well for the campaign ahead.
