Alex Neil has stated that it's important that he treats his Preston players with respect.

The Lilywhites have been in brilliant form so far this season and that has seen them sit in second position heading into the November international break.

Neil will be delighted with the way his side have started the campaign, and belief will begin to flow through the team that there could potentially be an opportunity of winning promotion to the Premier League this term.

Preston don't often spend big, and they look to sign bargains from different countries across the United Kingdom, something that seems to have done them well in recent years.

Neil has expressed that anyone in his squad is capable of making an impact and he has to be the one that gets that message across to his players.

Speaking to the Lancashire Post, Neil said: "Anyone is capable of going into the team and making an impact. It is important that all the players understand that.

"You have to treat players with respect, you are speaking to them as men, not as kids."

North End will be hoping they can continue to build on some impressive performances so far this season when they take on struggling Derby County on Saturday.

The Verdict

Preston have been fantastic so far this season, and there's an opportunity arising that they may not get in future years after what has been a quite brilliant start to the campaign.

The Championship seems as tight as ever this season, and the Lilywhites have to make sure that they take advantage of this particular inconsistency from other sides, as they put together a run that can challenge the best sides in the league.

Neil is spot on in saying that everyones capable of making an impact and it's good to see that he is trying to get that message across to his side, as it's important that players who are on the substitutes bench understand that.
