Pictures have emerged from Aston Villa's training ground on Thursday featuring new signing Kortney Hause and Tammy Abraham.

Hause completed his loan move to Villa Park on Monday whilst Abraham has been the subject of transfer speculation, with Hause's parent club Wolves heavily interested in bringing in the 21-year-old.

The Chelsea striker completed a season-long loan move to Villa back in the summer but after scoring 16 goals in 20 games has attracted plenty of attention from the Premier League.

Abraham had missed training as a move to last season's second-tier champions seemed imminent, but after it emerged that he may not be able to register with them, returned to Villa after fearing being caught in limbo and unable to play entirely.

Villa have had a tricky opening half of the season with an initial upturn in form under Dean Smith petering out in recent weeks with the club currently sat in tenth place, five points behind Derby County who occupy the final play-off place.

The verdict

This should be a big boost for Villa fans.

Whilst there remains a chance that Abraham's move to Wolves could still go through if FIFA allow it, this is definitely a step in the right direction.

The striker would have been close to irreplaceable. If he sticks around, promotion could still be on the cards this season.
