Ovie Ejaria has stated that everyone is ‘happy’ at Reading following their 3-0 victory over Luton on Saturday.
The Royals stretched their unbeaten run to four games, and manager Mark Bowen will be delighted with the start that he has made at Reading.
The Welshman took over from boss Jose Gomes after the Portuguese man was relieved of his duties following just two wins in the Royals’ first 11 league games of the campaign.
One man who has impressed so far this season is midfielder Ejaria, who has been instrumental in the forward play for Reading.
The 21-year-old expressed that the Royals must stay focused and make sure they are prepared for the Brentford game.
Speaking to Reading’s official website, Ejaria said: “In this league, back-to-back wins get you up the table and that was really important for us. You can see the intensity in training–we’re working harder and everyone’s happy right now.
“It’s good to have a break now, but we have to focus and be prepared for Brentford. We’ve got to stay humble and focus on the next game and give 100%.
“As you know, no game in this league is easy so we have to be ready.”
Is Ejaria the best player in the league?
Reading have a great opportunity to build on the form that they’ve shown in this part of the current season. The Royals have been so impressive in the last four fixtures and Bowen has really started to make them look like a team that can compete in the top half of the division.
Ejaria has been simply sensational so far and scored another goal on Saturday to help the Royals thrash Luton at the Madejski Stadium.
It now means that Reading have won three consecutive home games at the Madejski Stadium for the first time since 2017, which is a nice return to form in front of their own fans. Bowen has the potential to keep guiding them up the table, especially with the current morale within the side.
