Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn is keen to stay at the club despite interest from a number of clubs, such as Premier League outfit Newcastle United, according to the Nottingham Post.
The talented left-sided midfielder was a stand-out performer in a poor Nottingham Forest side last season, and his impressive displays have caught the eye of a few clubs.
Osborn has already made 135 appearances for the Reds since making his debut in March 2014, scoring 10 goals, and continues to be an instrumental figure in the side, creating the second highest amount of chances in the Championship last season.
The Nottingham Post understands that the 23-year-old has been impressed with the arrival of Mark Warburton, David Weir and Frank McParland, and is keen to maintain his stay at The City Ground.
With such optimism back around the club, supplied by the new owners and coaching staff, it is imperative that the Reds keep their key players such as Osborn to ensure that they enjoy a much better season than last.
The East Midlands giants narrowly avoided relegation to League One, so it’s clear that to pull away from danger again next term they need serious reinforcements this summer – more importantly though, they need to keep their prized assets, of which Osborn is certainly one.
