Millwall striker Tom Bradshaw has stated he's determined to fight for a place in the Wales squad after they qualified for the European Championships.

The forward has managed to net six goals in the current Championship campaign so far, and he'll set his aims even higher having seen Wales qualify for a major tournament during the week.

Wales beat Hungary 2-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium as Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey managed to score a brace with a goal either side of half-time.

Bradshaw has expressed that Giggs thought there were more suited options, but if he keeps playing well at Millwall, he knows the rewards will come in the future.

Speaking to News at Den, Bradshaw said: "Ryan Giggs obviously thought maybe he had better options or more suited options. I can only keep doing what I am doing and keep trying to play well for Millwall and hopefully the rewards will come.

"Every footballer on the planet wants to play for their country and do their country and their family proud. I will always be striving for that, I will always have that in the back of my mind that if I am doing well I will get a call-up."

The Verdict

Bradshaw has been very effective in this Millwall side so far this season, and his goal tally is good considering for a lot of the fixtures he's had to play up top by himself.

It's set to be an interesting few months before the major tournament as the striker will be determined to get into that Wales squad knowing he could come up against some of the world's best.

If Gary Rowett can get the best out of him, then that will do a lot to make sure that he can get into the team for the tournament as well as help Millwall push up the Championship table. It's a win win for both the international boss and the club manager.
