Middlesbrough rescued a draw this weekend just gone as they saw Cyrus Christie score a late equaliser against Fulham in the Championship.

Indeed, it looked as though Boro were on course for a defeat against the men from Craven Cottage but they dug in and got a point as they continue to try and challenge for promotion.

For sure, it'll be likely that every point counts once we get to the sharp end of the season and Garry Monk clearly feels that the club is going to be right up there in terms of the table at that point.

Indeed, the Riverside club is a little bit behind the likes of Leeds and Wolves at the moment in the table but Monk thinks things are going to click soon and then Boro are going to be a real force.

Indeed, as quoted by the club's official Twitter account, Monk said:

For sure, then, the former Leeds man is confident that things are going to be very good for his club this season and fans of the men from Teesside will certainly be hoping that is the case.

The Verdict

Boro have looked very strong at times this season but they need to find an extra air of consistency if they are to seriously challenge up at the top.

For sure, though, they have all the tools to do just that and so it now remains to be seen whether or not they actually do.
