As quoted by talkSPORT – via HITC – Angus Kinnear has addressed talk of Leeds United’s transfer budget in light of their recent investment news.
The club has seen the 49ers enterprise group take a minority stake in the club from Andrea Radrizzani and that should allow them to grow financially.
Indeed, for Leeds fans it’s whether new signings are going to stem from that and, in some positive news for them, it looks as though it will.
“It will definitely make us more competitive this summer, without a doubt.
“And I think it will bring the type of players that Leeds fans want and believe will make a difference in terms of mounting a sustained promotion challenge.”
This is exciting stuff for Leeds fans.
The worry might have been that they’d get beaten to key targets into the summer by richer clubs but it looks as though those fears have been allayed somewhat.
It remains to be seen how aggressive the club is going to be in the window but there can be no doubt that they are going to carry an extra punch now.
Leeds have been linked with some good names in recent times and the hope will be now that they can get deals over the line with this extra financial muscle.
Certainly, it’s very early days in this relationship but it looks as though it could yield some good business for the Whites.
