Martin Cranie has stated that Luton must 'get on with it' and show their character to bounce back from their four league defeats in a row.

The Hatters have had a poor few weeks under manager Graeme Jones and will be hoping that they can pick up some form as they look to stay in the Championship this season.

Luton had a very successful promotion last campaign and brilliantly won the League One title, but they now have to pick up their form and make sure that they seize on this opportunity.

They have recorded impressive victories over sides such as Bristol City and Blackburn which proves they are capable of getting results in this division, but must do it on more occasions.

Speaking to Dunstable Today, Cranie said: "It’s going to be a test of character for the lads now.

“There’s no point us coming in with our heads down, we’ve got to get on with it, we’ve got 30 games left in this league.

“It’s not done by a long way, so we need to go back to training, work hard and get ready for the next game."

Luton are next in action after the international break when they take on promotion-chasing Leeds United at Kenilworth Road in what will be one of their toughest tests of the season so far.

The Verdict

Luton really need to start picking up more results if they're to stay in the division. They have to become more solid at the back, and potentially sacrifice one of their attacking players in their formation in order to make the side much harder to beat.

The key now is to end this losing streak, as the longer that goes on, the more supporters will begin to worry about the potential of relegation.

They sit just one place outside of the relegation zone at the minute, and have some key fixtures coming up including a very tough home game with Leeds next weekend. If Jones can keep them up he'll have done a great job, but it will be tough.
