Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed he will not make any changes to the side which drew against Nottingham Forest when the Whites travel to face Wigan on Saturday.

The West Yorkshire outfit were held to a 1-1 draw with Sabri Lamouchi's side last weekend when Lewis Grabban's late equaliser cancelled out Pablo Hernandez's strike, but Bielsa's side did beat Salford City 3-0 in midweek.

The Argentine has now confirmed - as per The Athletic's Phil Hay - that he will name the same side as he fielded against the Reds last Saturday, despite initially saying he would not name the line-up.

Bielsa claimed a supporter complained to him about the policy of revealing the team in the week leading up to a match, but he told the press: "Between you and me, it's going to be the same team."

This means Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah will need to wait for his full Leeds debut after opening the scoring against Salford on Tuesday, while Helder Costa must also wait for his first league start.

The verdict

I'm in agreement that it may not be the best policy for Bielsa to name his line-up in the pre-match press conference, but it clearly didn't hinder his side too much last season as they still managed to challenge for promotion.

If Bielsa is ever planning on making wholesale changes then he may decide against revealing the team, but it should not do too much harm on this occasion as it is an unchanged side.

Leeds delivered a strong performance against Forest despite being held to a draw so it's no surprise to see Bielsa name the same team, but I think it can't be long before Costa and Nketiah break into the side.

Both players showed their quality at Moor Lane on Tuesday night so I think they will surely be included in the starting line-up once they have fully adapted to life at Elland Road.
