Leeds United's Mateusz Klich believes there is more to come from his team, with two new recruits yet to get firing.

The Whites have had a relatively good start in the Championship, and whilst they couldn't maintain their lead against Nottingham Forest at the weekend, they will be pleased to remain unbeaten.

Marcelo Bielsa didn't bring in many new faces over the summer, but Klich believes there are two additions who will prove valuable; Helder Costa and Eddie Nketiah.

With the departure of Kemar Roofe, the Arsenal loanee Nketiah has some responsibility on his shoulders, but Klich believes he is up to the task. Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, he said:

"He was doing some physical tests and was here two days before the game. One hundred per cent, he is good.

"He is from the Premier League so he has to be good so I don't worry about it."

Nketiah wasn't included in Leeds' matchday squad at the weekend, which is understandable given he signed just two days before and hadn't trained with the team.

Helder Costa, however, is still waiting for his first start in Leeds colours and may have to prove to Bielsa that he understands his system before he is given the opportunity.

"He's a great player," added Klich.

"I hope he will get more minutes and then he will score goals and get assists and I am not worried about him."

The Verdict

Nketiah and Helder Costa are very exciting prospects for Leeds and once they get fit and firing they should be a handful for opposition defences.

There is a lot resting on the young Nketiah and he has to be able to rival Patrick Bamford for a starting place, which is not an easy task given this is his first loan spell and the Championship is a difficult league.

Both have the backing of their teammate, though, which is positive to see. It is vital both players fit into the squad and help build squad harmony, as that can be integral to a long and arduous promotion campaign.
