Hull City striker Abel Hernandez has confirmed he will leave the club this summer, bringing and end to his four year stay with the club.

The Uruguayan striker confirmed the news on his Twitter account last night, bringing to an end a spell which was largely successful barring some horrific injuries sustained over the past couple of seasons.

Hernandez was quoted as saying he believes the club 'can return to the Premier League' and that the fans 'deserve it'.

Hernandez touched on the reasons why, saying a 'fair agreement could not be reached' with the club, and that he will no move onto pastures new.

The striker has this summer already been linked with a move to rivals Leeds United, and he will no doubt be in demand when clubs do start to sign players following players returning from summer holidays.

Hernandez scored 36 goals in just shy of 100 appearances for the Tigers, and he will no doubt be looking to get himself a new club ASAP following his return from injury.
