Grant McCann has revealed that Hull City are yet to receive a bid for star man Jarrod Bowen.

The forward has attracted substantial interest from the Premier League in recent months with Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur both credited with a strong interest.

The 23-year-old has just 18 months remaining on his contract with the Tigers, and it seems that his long-term future could be decided sooner rather than later.

Bowen has been in stunning form so far this term after scoring 16 goals in 28 games for Hull, leading to speculation that he could move before Friday night's deadline.

However speaking to the press, McCann said that they've had no bids for the forward.

Speaking to the press, McCann said: "Jarrod trained this morning and I've not had any bids my way.

"Jarrod is the best in the league in his position.

"He loves it here and he loves Hull City.

"He's not at all disappointed that he's not had any bids and he's happy to be here."

The verdict

The saga regarding Jarrod Bowen's future looks set to rumble on, but only for a short while longer.

Bowen looks destined to play in the Premier League and it seems that everyone knows it - including the player himself.

A new contract with Hull always looked ambitious and it seems that his future will be decided sooner rather than later.

A January move seems unlikely, but if he fails to move on this month it seems almost certain that he'll complete his move over the summer.
