Things have not gone to plan this summer for Birmingham City with them suffering FFP restrictions and a transfer embargo.

Garry Monk had wanted to reshape his side but he has not been able to do that so far with him now only able to bring in some loan signings before the end of the month.

And, whilst we wait to see how he gets on with that, it looks as though more cost-saving is going on with John Percy revealing three key departures from the club on Twitter:

Clearly, then, the Blues are losing staff at the moment and they'll have to try and replace them at the moment.

Money is obviously tight at the Midlands club and whilst Monk and co. will be focusing on what's primarily going on on the pitch, this sort of news will surely filter into the dressing room.

The Verdict

The challenge for Garry Monk is obvious at the moment.

He needs to try and get results, find loan players and ensure what's going on in the boardroom does not impact the mental state of those on the pitch.

Things are obviously tough at St. Andrew's at the moment, and it remains to be seen exactly how they are going to resolve it all.
